SOLUZIONE

lupak metal

The project involves the construction of a residential building on an elongated plot with a crosswise slope of approximately 12 meters between the municipal road at the top and the cultivated field below.

The first step in the project was the demolition of all rural structures on the site, which were in a total state of abandonment.

Construction began from the lowest level, starting with the infinity pool and its technical room, and then continued with the cellar and storage areas that cross through the building, connecting the pool zone to the vertical circulation system, consisting of a staircase and elevator that serve all floors of the residence.

The bedrooms are arranged in sequence on the first level above the pool. Thanks to large glass doors opening onto a continuous loggia, they enjoy a relaxing view of the distant forest.

A long, equipped corridor provides access to the bedrooms and connects the service areas.

A linear staircase made of metal and wood leads to the upper level, which corresponds to the main entrance of the house. Here are the kitchen, dining room, and living area, which features a higher ceiling than the other rooms and an iconic suspended fireplace.

The composition of volumes and the arrangement of openings were carefully designed to respond to the morphology of the plot, ensuring maximum privacy and optimal use of natural light.

Large minimal-frame windows eliminate the boundary between inside and outside, linking the living spaces with the spacious, partially covered terrace.

On the top floor are the guest room and gym.

For the large openings, we used Lupak Metal flush-mounted sunshade systems with 90mm slats in Anthracite RAL 7016.

We selected this system for its many advantages:

  • Ideal for large openings, with minimal stacking depth that enhances glazed surfaces
  • Modulates air and natural light, creating healthier environments and improving thermal and lighting performance
  • Enhances the architectural aesthetics of the building
  • Long-lasting over time
  • Energy savings: protection from summer heat and reduced cooling needs

From the outside, the building appears completely different depending on the viewpoint.

From the public road defining the upper boundary of the plot, only the upper floor is visible: a long, compact, all-white volume. From the short sides, it appears narrow and fragmented. It is only from the valley that the full scale of the building is revealed: its horizontal stratification is emphasized through material contrasts (plaster and stone), color (white and gray), and the interplay of compact volumes carved by long recesses.

From a technical standpoint, the building achieves Energy Class A4.
